Which languages are in the app?
Ijaw, starting with the Warri clans and the Kolokuma written base, Pidgin, and Urhobo. More creeks are being gathered: Nembe, Kalabari and Ijaw clans are being gathered and land in the app when their voices are ready. See the languages
Do I have to write anything?
No. Creeks is spoken. You hear a word, say it back and hear the two side by side. Some cards let you type what you heard, but writing is never required.
What if I can't talk out loud right now?
Tap can't talk right now and the card waits for later. The talk gate at the end of each stop waits for your voice, so passing one always means you said it out loud.
Which Ijaw will I learn?
The Warri clans first, Gbaramatu, Ogbe Ijoh and Isaba, with the Kolokuma dictionary as the written base for spellings and tones. Mein, Nembe, Kalabari and Ibani land as their speakers are recorded. Your dialect is a label on the lesson, never a wall, so start anywhere and switch when your clan lands.
Is my voice recorded?
When you practise, the app records you so you can hear yourself next to the speaker, and those recordings stay on your phone. At a talk gate, if you say yes, your line is checked against real voices and then deleted.
How do I cancel?
From your phone's subscription settings, in the App Store or Google Play. The plan runs to the end of the month you paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel billing on its own.
